It also operates as a USB host device which means you can have added functionality through plug in USB components.
Although the G900 comes with the Windows Mobile OS, it also comes with a lot of third party applications as well. Since it’s a Win Mobile device it automatically comes with features for viewing Word, Excel and PowerPoint documents, as well as the ability to create and edit them. However it also comes with Picsel Viewer which lets you open various document types as well.
It has a full featured multimedia player as well. The G900 is capable of playing back audio in AAC, MP3, WMA, AMRNB and can use ringtones in these formats as well as XMF and SMAF formats. As for ringtones, the G900 is capable of using video as a ringtone too.
Another unique feature of the G900 is its ability to use TIPtalk. This is an application that allows VoIP calls to be made similar to SKYPE…more or less. The G900 also comes with another browser outside of the default Internet Explorer Mobile one. It comes with Opera Mobile as well, giving you a choice in the way that you interface with the internet. Each browser has its pros and cons, but both work well.
There are also many of the basic features such as an extremely large capacity phone book, calendar and organizational features. There are also many other full software features not mentioned in this article. With all that said, the G900 is packed full of everything you could want in a smartphone, including a few things you probably wouldn’t even know you wanted until you see them on this smartphone.
